Guys say whatever they need to or lie to impress in the moment. In reality, it shouldn't matter unless a woman that wears a lot of makeup is showing interest in him, but having an opinion would imply that women that wear a lot of makeup have hit on him and he just doesn't prefer it, which probably isn't the reality 💀
