We keep the body covered, use respectful language and never speak about the person as though they are not present. Caregivers can also be honest. You may dislike an intimate care task. You may feel uncomfortable, exhausted or sad about how much the relationship has changed. Those feelings do not mean you love the person less. Love is not measured by enjoying every task. Sometimes love looks like doing what must be done while protecting the person from unnecessary exposure, embarrassment and loss of control.
