@torinikitin: 🇮🇸 Svartifoss Waterfall – Iceland 💦🖤 Located in Vatnajökull National Park, Svartifoss, also known as the “Black Falls,” is one of Iceland’s most unique waterfalls! 🥾 Hike: Approximately 2 miles round trip, with a moderate uphill climb to reach the falls. 💦 Waterfall Height: Approximately 66 feet (20 meters). 🖤 Fun Fact: What makes Svartifoss so incredible is the towering black basalt columns surrounding the waterfall. These hexagonal formations were created as ancient lava slowly cooled and contracted. The columns even inspired the architecture of Iceland’s famous Hallgrímskirkja church in Reykjavík! 🌿 Trail Details: The hike offers beautiful scenery, smaller waterfalls, and incredible views of the surrounding landscape. There are some steep sections, but the reward at the end is absolutely worth it!
