How do you shift your mindset from high-performing individual contributor to strategic thinker? I execute well, but zooming out and spotting the right problem does not come naturally, especially when I am not in the rooms where those problems are discussed. Is a mentor the answer, or is there a way to start training my brain now so I can bring forward solutions that show I am ready for broader influence? I also sometimes think I'm on the right track, only to find the true strategic leaders were on a totally different page. Definitely following this series!

Think in terms of First Principle Problem Solving or Root Cause Analysis. If you do these excercises enough you immediately begin to think in terms of leading vs lagging indicators.
