@mayadeenenglish: Speaking on Friday's episode of The Grand Standoff: Iran and the World on Al Mayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi said Iran has significantly reduced its vulnerability to potential US and Israeli strikes by relocating key military assets and expanding its underground infrastructure. He said that when the United States began bombing military bases at the start of the 40-day war, "most of them were already empty," adding that key installations, military factories and other assets had been emptied. He pointed to the development of underground drone and missile bases, as well as command-and-control centers "deep underground," affirming that "our vulnerability today is much less than before." He stressed that Iran’s missile capabilities are now "far greater" than before, and said any future confrontation would be "very different from the 40-day war," saying that Iran’s performance would be "far more decisive and far more impressive."
