@alangradei: Pam and I brought another couple along for dinner at ANTO Pizza and Pasta in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago, and what a little gem we discovered! 🇮🇹 The restaurant is conveniently located right below the CTA Red Line’s Jarvis Square stop, making it an easy destination if you’re traveling by train. Chef Tony, originally from Italy, was ready to retire after years in the restaurant business. But he realized his happy place was still in the kitchen, cooking and running a restaurant. So he opened this cozy little spot in Rogers Park, bringing a little taste of Italy to Chicago. The moment we walked in, Pam said it felt like we had stepped off a side street somewhere in Italy. And that pretty much set the tone for the evening! We put the menu to the test, starting with appetizers, moving on to their homemade pasta and pizzas, and finishing with homemade tiramisu, one of my favorite desserts! And here’s another bonus: ANTO is BYOB with NO corkage fee! 🍷 But the big question is… after all those years in the restaurant business, does Chef Tony still have the magic? How did the food really stand up? You’ll have to watch and see! This is the sole opinion of Alan Gradei and Alan Gradei alone. #ANTOPizzaAndPasta #RogersParkChicago #ChicagoFoodies #ItalianFood #AlanCooks

Did you ever check out the Cermak stop on the red line? I dunno much about Chinese food, I’ve seen they have an underground mall, though!

This is a fantastic restaurant serving authentic Italian food! Anto Pizza & Pasta is definitely worth the trip from anywhere in the Chicago area!!! We had a fantastic experience, and we're grateful that our friends Alan and Pam invited us to tag along with them on their review.
Anto's uses imported flour from Italy, and you can really taste the difference. The bread, pasta, and pizza were all outstanding, light, delicious, and full of flavor without feeling heavy. Everything was fresh and incredibly enjoyable.
It's absolutely worth the drive to Rogers Park in Chicago. Great food, great experience, and a place we'd happily visit again. Highly recommend! 🍕🍝🇮🇹

I absolutely rip some heavy deadlifts at the gym across the street and come in here for a big pasta afterwords. That’s what it must’ve felt like to be a Roman soldier.
