@viralbitt: A family of rare barn owls recently made headlines after nesting inside a water tower on a building in Manhattan's Upper West Side. Their nest attracted crowds of New Yorkers hoping to catch a glimpse of the birds, and it was believed to be the first documented case of barn owls nesting in Manhattan in modern history. However, the roof of the water tower was removed during construction work, exposing the nest and disturbing the owl family. Wildlife experts are now worried about the baby owls, who depend on their parents to bring them food because they are not yet able to hunt on their own. New York officials have ordered the building owner to stop the demolition while they investigate. Via: amberettinger/IG
