@football.discussi7: Chelsea defeated Manchester United 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, confirming a historic slump for the Red Devils under manager Michael Carrick. With this loss, Manchester United has officially recorded its worst start to a league season in 40 years, managing just 7 points from their first 9 Premier League matches. This grim milestone marks Manchester United's lowest points tally at this stage of a league campaign since the infamous 1986/1987 season, when they also opened with a meager return. To make matters worse, the defeat leaves United sitting dangerously close to the relegation zone and sets an unprecedented club record. United is now winless in nine consecutive matches across all competitions for the first time since 1988/89. For the first time in the Premier League era, they have gone eight consecutive league matches without tasting victory. #PremierLeague #EPL #Chelsea #ChelseaFC #manchesterunited
