Thank you for mentioning zombies in Haiti. The concept of zombification was also introduced to keep enslaved Haitians from committing suicide. It was a frequent issue & enslavers basically said, "if you do it we will own you in death as well" ...my people been through so damn much 😤

I wrote a paper in college under the postcolonial analysis that the monster in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein was the upper class white fear of the black/brown and it's perceived limitless capabilities. I referenced the breeding farms, and slave revolts happening in the British occupied isles. I got a great grade. I think it was perfect besides a couple grammatical issues 🤣
