@life_as_mrs.carrick: If only the clubcard vouchers @Tesco very kindly sends out were available to use online as well 🫠 also I think parents with children should have their own badges to park in parent and child spaces, as well as there should be loads more parent and child spaces in car parks 🙈 #tesco #rant #parentandchildparking #grocerystore

the woman could have a hidden disability. Also your lifestyle choice shouldn't entitle you to a bigger space closer to the door, parent and child spaces aren't legally enforable they are a courtesy she had every right to park there.

In terms of the kids parking space you have no idea what the woman has going on in life. She could be disabled so needs east access. Parents parking is a courtesy space but nothing is required to use them. Potentially shaming someone who has a disability or many other things for using a space they need to use for those reasons is a bad look

The thing that I wouldn’t have realised until I had little kids is how dangerous it can be going from your car to the shop. Especially if you have multiple small children. It’s very stressful making sure they don’t bolt in front of a vehicle and getting a parking space closer to the shop is an actual lifesaver. So, I get it if you don’t have little kids you might not fully understand but they are so appreciated for those of us who do!

Since when do we shame people for not having kids? This is diabolical

This is so weird. The sense of entitlement and assuming about a woman is insane

She could be picking up her kids you don’t know people’s circumstances. Best just not to comment x

I always park in the child spaces, I don’t have kids, so as a punishment for not having kids I’m expected to walk farther ?? Not on my watch

so frustrating, happened to me in tesco a car has parked in a parent and child and I had to park in a regular space opposite, struggled to get my baby and 2 year old out and in and the car in the parent and child had 2 people in it with no children..... they just stood and looked at me struggling. soo annoying

To be fair, I’m heavily pregnant. Even when I don’t have my 2 toddlers with me I park in the mother/child space because I can’t get out of a regular space comfortably 🥴

I actually agree with you here. it really erks me when people use the family spots and I’m left trying to squeeze my kids out of their car seats in a tiny spot

its so clear the amount of people who have never had to try and squeeze a newborn child seat out of a car in a normal parking space. It is IMPOSSIBLE. Turly believe the parent and baby spaces should be further away from the door and it would prevent alot of annoyance.

Once in Buttercrane I was trying to squeeze my 2 month old out of a normal space when a parent & toddler space became free. A man in a suit flew into it on his own (with his work lanyard on full display😂) I normally say nothing but I pulled him up on it and he was scundered. Claimed he was going to lift a child and his mother, but I pointed out that neither were with him at the time. He got back into his car and moved to a normal space! I bumped into him the whole way round the centre and even watched him return to his car… no child, no mother surprise surprise!🤣 I do usually give people the benefit of the doubt because of hidden disabilities, but when the disabled spaces are alllll empty it makes you wonder! I honestly think parent & toddler spaces should be further away from the doors, in a safer area with wider bays. It’s not about being close to the entrance, it’s about having the room and safety to get little ones in and out! They’re abused so much like.
