When we first moved to Spain, almost everything felt exciting. 🇪🇸 The palm trees, the mountains, the sea, eating outside, warm evenings… even doing completely normal things felt different because it was all new. And of course, after living here for a while, everyday life becomes exactly that: everyday life. You stop noticing some things. You have school mornings, laundry, work, groceries, homework and all the completely normal parts of family life here too. 😂 But there are still certain moments that somehow haven’t become normal to me. Walking outside in October and realising it’s still warm. Driving up into the mountains or through one of the little mountain villages and still being completely blown away by the views. 🏔️😍 Walking along the seafront and still getting that same feeling every time I look out at the sea. 🩵🌊 Having dinner outside on a completely ordinary weekday. Or spending a weekend somewhere that still feels like we’re on holiday, even though we’re actually just close to home. I think that’s probably one of my favourite things about living here. Not that every day feels like a holiday, because it definitely doesn’t. 😂 But everyday life still gives us little moments that make me stop and think: we actually live here. What’s one everyday thing about where YOU live that you never get tired of? 👇 Follow @thortheswedes for our real family life in Spain. 🇸🇪🇪🇸
