Halloween (Samhain) belonging to Ireland and Ireland alone, the Scots ect try to claim it but their wrong it's an Irish festival. it's fabulous and and as Irish people we're happy to celebrate with the rest of the world.

No trick or treating did not start in the United States. It started here in Ireland, we called it mumming and guising and you'd have to perform for a treat. Dressing up was meant to confuse the spirits that crossed over on that evening.
