I mean, that seems like a manager worth working for. I guess it depends on what is more important to you. personally if my bills are paid and I like the work, I'd stay to work for an honest manager. there aren't many out there

I applied for a promotion. I worked overnights, and I found out I didnt get it by my coworker texting me telling me she got the job. The managers told her she could start telling people. She texted me when I was on my way to work. when I got there I found the letter in my inbox saying I didn't get the job. Not only did they give her the job over me, but she sucked at it and everybody was constantly telling me they wished I got the job instead. I quit picking up extra shifts for them and went back to my 40 hour weeks. After a while she quit. I applied and interviewed for the position again. Got passed up AGAIN. And yet again, the person they chose over me sucked. I kept hearing "You're the best employee we have" so I took it as a sign that they didnt want to lose the chance to abuse me. One night they wouldn't help fill my shift when I had a family emergency. I quit with zero notice.

My department head actually promoted me without telling my manager because she kept blocking me, for this is exact reason. When he told her I was moving she started SCREAMING in his office, to the point a co-worker that sat near his office called me to ask what was going on. She belittled me, told him I was horrible at my job, all this and when he wouldn't budge looked at him and goes, well then I need 2 people to replace her.
