@elviaq91: 🎙️🌎 FROM THE VALLEY TO THE WORLD, from BONNIE HERNANDEZ, DELIVERING THE STORIES THAT MOVE US, SHAPE US, AND MATTER MOST. 💔🚒 UPDATE: NEW DETAILS EMERGE IN THE DEATHS OF TWO WESLACO FIREFIGHTERS. THEIR OFFICIAL TIMES OF DEATH HAVE NOW BEEN REPORTED. WESLACO, TEXAS — Two firefighters. Two lives lost. And now, a heartbreaking timeline that raises even more questions about what happened Wednesday morning. Authorities have identified the two firefighters as 43-year-old Johnny Peña and 21-year-old Julia Rocha. And now, according to new information, we are learning when each firefighter was officially pronounced dead. AT APPROXIMATELY 7:46 WEDNESDAY MORNING, BOTH FIREFIGHTERS WERE FOUND UNRESPONSIVE. They were transported to a local hospital. But tragically, neither survived. JOHNNY PEÑA WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED AT 8:30 A.M. SEVENTEEN MINUTES LATER, AT 8:47 A.M., JULIA ROCHA WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED. SO MANY QUESTIONS. AND STILL, SO FEW ANSWERS. What happened before these two firefighters were found unresponsive? What were the circumstances that led to the loss of two members of the same fire department on the same morning? And what will the autopsy findings reveal? According to Justice of the Peace Gilberto Saenz, the autopsy results are still pending. The cause and circumstances of their deaths have not been publicly established. Weslaco Mayor Adrian Gonzalez described the tragedy as a heartbreaking loss. And the heartbreak extends far beyond the fire station. Johnny Peña was a longtime firefighter who devoted 19 years to serving his community. Julia Rocha was just 21 years old, with so much of her life still ahead of her. ONE WAS 43. THE OTHER, JUST 21. Two different lives. Two different stories. And one tragedy that has left an entire community searching for answers. The investigation continues. And as more information becomes available, we will continue following this developing story. 🙏🏻 HEAVENLY FATHER, IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, we lift the families of Johnny Peña and Julia Rocha before You. Lord, comfort the hearts that are shattered. Strengthen their families, their friends, and their brothers and sisters in the fire service. Give them peace when their hearts are overwhelmed, strength when the days feel unbearable, and the assurance that they are not walking through this heartbreak alone. IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN. 🙏🏻 🕊️ MAY JOHNNY PEÑA AND JULIA ROCHA REST IN PEACE. 🎙️ I’m Bonnie Hernandez.
