Look for soft tissue injury. Dr Tanner believes when they don’t want to turn first barrel it’s a left front leg problem.

I know everyone is saying to just swap her to the other side, but I feel that’s just avoiding the problem. We had a mare that ran the fence instead of turning and a good chiropractor fixed her poll and she cut it out, but I’d suggest trying a very good chiropractor (and multiple sessions, not everything will be perfect after one appointment), possibly her hocks or stifles could be sore or hurt just not to the raw eye? Just my thoughts, I wish you luck finding her problem!

I’d check for anoplasmosis and/or lymes, when river was running weird she came out shaking once and then we tested her and it was positive for both🥹😭

My mare end up having a DDFT . She was running off and vetted fine for a while. They thought it was navicular for the longest time. Get an MRI… pricey but might find your problems

Sometimes switching directions helps but honestly when I got to a point with my mare where I couldn’t figure out a issues and I’ve tried all the options I can possibly think of, I went to an animal communicator

some horses just don't like to/want to work. we aren't automatically obligated to be able to ride them they should still have a say. she might just be telling you she doesn't wanna race anymore, but maybe also try massage therapist she may have pent up tension where normal vets may not spot. wishing u best, also check saddle fittings maybe it's pinching a nerve when she turns the barrel or something

Try doing something other than barrels for a little bit. My mare grew to hate barrels due to her last owners. We thought something was wrong and same thing injections etc but still would blow it off. After a few months off the pattern i switched her to poles for a little bit and she loved it. Even hanging around the cows and doing little things she enjoys and came back with cleaner runs. It’s werid but it worked. Sometimes they just get bored and don’t have the grit/determination for the pattern anymore.!

I feel like this may sound dumb and may not work but if you watch the video as soon as she doesn’t turn right then and there you get kinda braced up and look right at her head/the gate sometimes it really does help look where you wanna go and your body gives them more cue to want to turn. Might not work but possibly. I would say give her another job for a bit then go back to barrel 🤷🏼♀️

Following for any info!! I have a gelding that been xrayed up and down! Rears up at the right no matter which way we come in and vet told to take the tie down off due to pinching around c2&c3 and it’s been months with no improvement.
