Originally from Ghana, Javits moved to the United States in October 2025 to live with his father, Thomas Frimpong, who wanted to give his son a better education and a brighter future. Javits was described by his father as a clever, quiet boy with big dreams. He wanted to become a physician. But behind his quiet personality, he was reportedly dealing with bullying at school. His father revealed that Javits had complained about being bullied and had reported the incidents several times. According to his father, the school principal had informed him that two students accused of bullying Javits had been suspended. Then came the morning of October 29, 2026. Javits was walking to school when he was reportedly chased and shot in the Bronx. He was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, doctors could not save him. His father had woken him up that morning before leaving home. He never imagined that would be one of his final moments with his son. And perhaps one of the most heartbreaking parts is that Javits’s mother was still in Ghana. His father had to call her and tell her that their 15-year-old son was gone. She was reportedly so devastated that she struggled to believe the news. A father who brought his son across the ocean hoping to give him a better future is now mourning him. Javits should have been thinking about his dreams, his education and becoming a doctor. He should have had the opportunity to grow up.
