They told my husband it wouldn't hurt to take out his drain tubes from his knee surgery. They LIED! He said it was sooo painful!

As someone who has had multiple sets of pins I can assure you that it doesn’t feel great but it doesn’t exactly hurt.

I know this pain, I cut through my finger 3/4 of of the way through with a circular saw and they put a k wire through the tip of my finger to my second knuckle, and pulled it out sucked
