I went to school in 2004/2005 and our center director smoked constantly, even while teaching or checking haircuts/services. Sitting in her office with her was hard because you’d stink like cigs the rest of the day. She was great though lol

My boss would be next door at a bar and we would do whatever color service, prep etc and sit them in his chair. That's when you would call the bar..he'd come in the back door pop a breathe mint and cut their hair..they thought he was a God

Oyyyyyyy those days. We had the bench chair with 3 dryers. We would all sit there smoking, drinking coffee and that took precedence over the clients waiting lol

1988 was the best! 🤣🤣 Dryer chairs lined up with roller sets. "smoke em if you got em!" These little old ladies would come in every Saturday for their weekly sets smoking pall mall non filters under the dryer. Having us go buy them for them at the store. 🤣 Social days.. color and perms every 15 minutes. Sets in between. Ashtrays moving around the room! 🤣 What a time that was..

The first salon I ever worked at in 2010 was Mastercuts in the mall. I had a coworker that was booked solid all day every day. She’d come to work drunk as hell and had a purse full of shooters every shift. Upper management knew and fired her at the beginning of one of her shifts. She came back after we closed and spray painted Mastercunts in black spray paint everywhere 🤣🤣
