Jurors in Monroe County, Wisconsin, have convicted a former teacher of 25 charges for repeatedly abus*ng a teenage boy in a private school’s basement. Anne N. Nelson-Koch, 74, faces up to 600 years in prison at her sentencing to take place Oct. 27. Assistant District Attorney Sarah M. Skiles, who prosecuted the case, wanted her put behind bars immediately, but Monroe County Circuit Court Judge Richard Radcliffe released Nelson-Koch on GPS monitoring. Prosecutors said that the SA happened in the basement of a private school in the city of Tomah, Wisconsin, during the 2016-2017 school year. The boy, now grown, was 14 when the incidents took place,. The charges were 12 counts of second-degree SA of a child; 4 counts of child enticement s3xual conduct, 8 counts of exposing intimate parts to a child & a count of intimidating a victim. “The victim of these crimes is an incredibly brave young man,” Skiles said. “He spoke the truth & the jury heard him loud and clear. We are so grateful to the jury for their dedication to finding the truth. She also credited Investigator Paul Sloan of the Tomah Police Department. He ran the investigation. “We could not have achieved this outcome without the victim’s strength, and Investigator Sloan’s dedication and thorough investigation,” Skiles said. The trial took 3 days, and jurors took about 5 hours to reach their verdict. #crime #crimetiktoks #truecrime #crimejunkie #truecrimetiktok #crimetok

A lawsuit claims that an Ohio group home allowed a man with intellectual and developmental disabilities — and a known history of severe constipation — to go weeks without a bowel movement, resulting in a 20-pound fecal impaction that ultimately killed him. According to the complaint, 41-year-old #JamesStewart repeatedly told staff at the Clear Skies Ahead group home in Bazetta Township that he was constipated for several weeks, possibly up to a month. Despite his ongoing pain and declining condition, the lawsuit alleges that “Defendants did nothing for weeks to help James,” calling his death entirely avoidable. Stewart, who had autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizoaffective disorder with impulse control disorder, relied on the facility for daily care and supervision. His medications, the complaint notes, were known to cause severe constipation, making his symptoms especially dangerous. In the days leading up to his death on November 15, 2024, Stewart reportedly told staff he was in significant abdominal pain and was behaving unlike his usual self. Typically happy, social, and energetic, he had become despondent, lethargic, and visibly suffering, the lawsuit states.#explore #viral #trending
