So you stopped giving power to tarot but now are giving it to God.. so you’re repeating the cycle of giving your power to something outside of yourself. The problem was never tarot.. the problem is looking outside of yourself… even to God, for answers.

But that’s your experience and your relationship with tarot. That doesn’t mean everyone else should quit too. In my practice, I use tarot as a visual tool to reflect, connect with my subconscious, and recognize patterns,not to predict the future. They’re cards. Don’t give your power away to them. Often, people already know their answer, and the cards help them connect with their own intuition. For me, the point is always to redirect people back to themselves. It’s a tool, and how you use it matters.

Energy is in constant motion so to think that the cards are “predicting the future” vs just “reading the energy” is definitely a skewed perspective. The energy is neutral therefore what you get from the cards is neutral and can change based on free will.

I've been a professional reader for close to 10 years and I think the most important thing is that we understand that it's a tool. it is to empower us it is not the end all be all the energies can shift and change within seconds of a reading. it's up to us to educate our clients about that. it is incredibly easy in the beginning of a journey to go through spiritual psychosis and rely on these tools as the end all be all of everything. they are not as a reader I rarely even read for myself because I understand that it's only going to be the energy that I'm feeling right now and it will be confirmation for what I'm going through or it might give me some insight but it's not everything. the most important thing and what taro has helped me do is really trust my instincts and trust my intuition on a very deep deep deep level. it's not for everybody and I think a lot of people get into this looking for answers. that's partially why I got into it my mother is also a master astrologer and at one point she told me you need to read tarot because you'd be good at it I learned it within 6 months and I've been practicing it for 10 years it has changed my life and allowed me to go deeper within my own spirituality but I don't use it or look at it as some powerful all-knowing tool I look at it as a piece to a puzzle to be able to go deeper to understand yourself your physical being why you are here on this 3D Earth and what you're supposed to learn. walking in both rounds here on Earth and in the spiritual realm and connecting them together create the best life we can possibly have here on Earth that's my goal for my clients

The power doesn’t come from the cards it comes from you the cards are a tool to look deeper into a message and nothing you read is set in stone your knowledge and determination is what makes the outcome either stick or shift. You’re reading energy not the future. You can believe in god and still use divination and you can use many things to do so some just prefer tarot.

Shifting the burden from archetypal symbols on cards to God, is not that different. You still defer agency to something external to sense of self. "God give me the strength... I nail this to the cross..." or when something good comes its a blessing not from self, or when it isn't good, it's God's will or lesson to humble me, etc. This is not different.
