@anunfilteredgrace: Passive Pennies Episode 3 Your internet activity is valuable to companies… but did you know you could actually get paid for it? This week’s Passive Pennies is Ipsos Iris, a market research panel that rewards you with points for allowing its software to monitor how you use your devices. Depending on how many devices you connect, you can earn up to £10 worth of points per month (£120 a year). The catch? You’re giving them access to information about your browsing habits, app usage and online activity. It’s definitely one of the more controversial ways I’ve found to make extra money, but I’m interested to know where everyone stands on this one. Would you exchange some of your online privacy for £120 a year? #PassivePennies #PassiveIncomeIdeas #MakeExtraMoney #MoneyTipsUK #IpsosIris
Not for me personally! I don’t think giving up that much privacy is worth it - having said that, our activity is already being tracked a hell of a lot anyway so could see the argument that at least you’re getting paid for it this way!
