@unfilteredjennn: There’s some interesting research coming out about creatine and endometriosis, especially for those of us who take creatine regularly. A few studies have found that creatine may help endometriosis cells survive, resist cell death, and potentially contribute to lesion growth. Before everyone throws out their creatine, it’s important to understand that these findings are primarily from animal and laboratory studies. We still don’t have human studies showing that taking 3–5 g of creatine daily causes endometriosis to worsen or return after excision surgery. Here are the studies if you want to read into them yourself: 2024: Creatine and endometriosis lesion growth https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11481182/ 2025: Creatine and immune cells involved in endometriosis progression https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39679878/ 2026: Scientific critique discussing limitations of the research https://doi.org/10.1002/advs.202521907 I personally take creatine and am only a few months post-endometriosis excision surgery, so this definitely caught my attention. I love the benefits of creatine, but I also don’t want to be taking something that could potentially contribute to endometriosis coming back. If anyone has looked into this research or has any thoughts, I would genuinely love to hear them, especially if you have additional studies to share. I’m not here to scare anyone away from creatine. I’m just trying to understand what the evidence actually shows so I can make an informed decision. Always open to learning and having these conversations! #Endometriosis #Creatine #EndometriosisResearch #WomensHealth #HealForReal

so creatine doesn’t necessarily make pain worse, however endo lesions use it as armor and it makes it harder for you body to try and heal them. since endo is protected by creatine it tends to be able to do more damage since your body can’t attempt to close lesion spots. so i would not take creatine if you have endo. plus it’s naturally found in red meat so if you’re eating red meats i especially wouldn’t supplement it!

I felt so validated when I saw a study about it because my husband has tried to get me on creatine so many times and every time I give it a go, I feel sooooo much worse. I haven’t taken it in a few years now.

Endo tissue makes its own creatine and feeds off of it, so I do not take it and don’t recommend others with endo do either. Pre-clinical data suggests creatine promotes inflammation and tissue growth around the lesions. I think until more studies are don’t it’s not worth it!

I don’t believe that. I have been taking it for the last few years & just went to get a mri & I have no new lesions. My last surgery was 2015

I’m so curios about creatine. I recently had my laparoscopy done for endo. When they did my bloodwork, they tested my creatine and it was on the normal range. I don’t take any supplements for it. Is your bloodwork normal if you’re taking extra or would it be above average?
