Ecommerce store owners: Some orders you shipped this week may have lost you money, and your sales report won't show it.    At JupiterGear, a sale can look fine on the dashboard and still lose money once shipping and every other cost come out. So we started checking every order.    Now AI pulls the order information and shipping costs out of ShipStation and builds a spreadsheet row for each order. It adds up the shipping cost, the product cost from our various sources, and any other costs tied to that product. Then it compares that total with the revenue, so we can see whether each sale actually made money.    The same analysis catches something else. When we price a product, we estimate what it will cost to ship. The AI shows whether that estimate is close to the average shipping cost we actually pay. When there's a big gap, we update the selling price to cover it, and that call stays with us.    Zapier handles the busywork around it. Some marketplaces don't connect to ShipStation, so we export those orders as a spreadsheet and Zapier puts them into ShipStation for processing. This gives us a comprehensive picture of each order that comes in.    It isn't flawless. Once in a while a connection to a spreadsheet or Microsoft 365 breaks, and someone has to re-enable it in Zapier.    If you try one thing this week, compare the shipping you estimated on your best seller with what you actually paid on its last few orders. This let's you identify which orders are not profitable.    Do you know which of your orders cost more to process than what you charge for them?    👉 Free AI for Business Mini-Course — Link in bio
