@qwiktwik.com: 18.33 GB → 12.15 GB. That's the WinSxS folder on this PC before and after one command. Windows keeps old copies of system files after every update, and they pile up for months. How to clean the WinSxS folder on Windows 10 and 11: 1. Press Win + R, type cmd and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter (admin) 2. Paste: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore (shows the size and if cleanup is recommended) 3. Paste: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup 4. Wait a few minutes (8 here) until it says the operation completed Never delete files from WinSxS by hand, this command is the safe way. Your installed updates can still be uninstalled afterwards. Save this for when your C: drive is full. Or tick Old Windows Component Versions in QwikTwik's System Cleanup and it runs the same command. #windows11 #windows10 #storage #winsxs #pctips
