I've learnt this the painful way. You can forgive someone a hundred times, make excuses for them, worry about them even when you're falling apart yourself. But there comes a point when you realise they've grown comfortable with your suffering because you've always found a way to stay. And that hurts more than I can explain. I still have love in my heart, probably always will. I just can't keep abandoning myself to prove it.
