Moved to Boston from Louisiana. The “shady” parts of Massachusetts are equal to moderately nice places in Louisiana. It’s crazy the difference.

From the Northeast coast. Had to move to Texas with one parent. Parent left that state. Then I went back to the blue state. I almostdied in Texas. Worst state ever.

I lived in Virginia for one year in the very early 00s and THAT was too red and too south for me. New England for life.

I was highly considering moving to Massachusetts!! But what keeps me away is I heard people are so mean there and also the cold weather idk if I can handle it. I used to live in California, Nevada, and currently live in Missouri.

coming from someone born & raised in NJ i will NEVER move to a red state. I try to explain the difference between the two to my fiance all the time, yes the houses may be cheap but it’s not worth it.

The head of cardiac surgery at a hospital no from my home province (Montreal, Quebec) which is VERY liberal mind you, said he was leaving the province and moving to Georgia (not in the metro Atlanta area) because of anti semitism. When I tell you I laughed out loud.

this is why traveling is vital to growth. how can you truely know and understand if you haven't experienced it. and not just oh, I flew in for a week and stayed at a resort for a week then flew out. I've lived in multiple states as a healthcare traveler, and people don't understand when you say each state is like traveling to a new country.
