He’s mistaken. They aren’t translators. Translators take written word from one language to another. The word he’s looking for is interpreters. Also, most interpreters are done via language line or a tablet.

This idiot knows that most drs are the same race/ethnicity as his wife right? And that translators don’t get paid the same as doctors and fewer and fewer ppl can afford to become doctors and why would they even want to in the us?! Cuba has better and smarter drs and trains students from all over.

Does he think the hospital isn’t hiring more doctors because they spend too much money on Translators? That’s not how this works at all. If anything, an increase in patients due to language access would actually allow the hospital to hire more doctors. If you turn families away because they can’t communicate, that’s less patients, ie: less doctors needed.
