I used to be vegetarian (had to stop for health and disability related reasons) but still try to cook vegetarian when I can. my boyfriend was the kind of guy who thought all vegan food was gross and flavorless, told me he hates tofu. now that I cook for him he's realized it was never the fact that they don't have meat but rather that the only vegetarian foods he'd ever tried were cooked by people who can't cook

I had to quit animal products and my autoimmune disease got sooo much better. Then I research nutrition for years and evolved to a whole food vegan diet (I realized animal products were 100% un-needed and super unhealthy so I chose to be vegan with my whole food plant based diet). You need to focus on Whole Foods, grains, starches, legumes, dark leafy greens, and fruits. Guaranteed to be healthy and the more raw you eat, you get enzymes needed to really get those nutrients. Ignore the anti-nutrient claims like oxalates, studies prove time and time again they don’t effect you getting the nutrient levels you need and a bunch more 👍

I went to a restaurant where the only options I could eat was vegan bc all their meats was pre marinated in smth I was allergic too and it was honestly the worst food I had ever eaten. There's plenty of good vegan foods I have tried before I just wish restaurants put in the effort.

Just got lunch somewhere this week (group birthday thing) their alternative was called fake meat and it tasted like dog food. They dont even care if its good.

Hope Doddy used to have a really good impossible burger. I’m not vegetarian so I got it with real bacon. Taste wise the patty was just as good as real beef, but when you take into account, the ratio of macros to calories and the price premium meat wins. If it was cheaper than real beef, I would get it especially because that would mean I would feel less guilty of our getting something premium like bacon

if you want more people to order the vegan option it has to be safe for people eating vegan for health reasons, meaning it can't be cross contacted or have trace amounts.
