Those were the words spoken by former Houston 911 operator Crenshanda Williams after disconnecting thousands of emergency calls instead of helping callers in need. Investigators discovered that she had repeatedly hung up on callers and closed incidents without dispatching assistance. Supervisors became suspicious when many of her calls lasted only a few seconds. In one case, a caller reported an armed robbery at a convenience store. The call was disconnected and the caller had to contact 911 again before help was sent. Williams was later convicted of interfering with emergency telephone calls and received a sentence of 10 days in jail along with 18 months of probation. A job meant to help people during some of the worst moments of their lives was instead met with silence. Do you think the punishment fit the crime, or should the sentence have been harsher? 👇 #police #cops #arrested #justice #lawenforcement
