Unless you are Native American, your family’s story in this country began somewhere else, whether you immigrated yourself or your ancestors came generations ago. If being from somewhere else is the reason to deport people, shouldn’t that same standard apply to everyone? It breaks my heart. Whether someone was born here or came here seeking a better life, they deserve to be treated with dignity. If someone isn’t hurting anyone and is simply working hard to support their family, please leave them alone.
