I’ve always had a thing for sunrises and sunsets. šŸ§”šŸŒ… For as long as I can remember, I’ve been the person who stops whatever they’re doing to watch the sky change colors. I’ve even gotten genuinely upset when I’ve missed a particularly beautiful sunset. There’s just something about those few minutes that brings me so much peace. And after everything, I think that feeling has only gotten stronger. During my 42 days in quarantine at UNMC in Nebraska, I had a window in my room, but I couldn’t see much of the sky. My room didn’t face east or west, so watching the sunrise or sunset wasn’t really possible. And I missed it. A lot. I know I’ve talked about many of the little things I missed while I was in quarantine, but I don’t think I’ve ever really shared just how much I missed watching the sun rise and set. It’s something I’ve always made time for, whether I’m traveling somewhere halfway around the world or just going about my everyday life at home. I think that’s what made it so difficult. It wasn’t something I’d only started appreciating after quarantine. It was something I’d already loved, something that had always brought me comfort, and suddenly I couldn’t experience it. Now that I’m home, I find myself appreciating those moments even more. I still get excited when the sky starts turning orange, and I still hate when I miss a good sunset. Maybe even a little more than I used to. 🄹 I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of watching the sky change colors, and I hope I never do. 🧔 #sunsetlove #sunset #inspire #livelifetothefullestā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø #inspireothers
