@destinyafricanmarket: Did you know the history behind the iconic Agege bread? First it was Milo vs. Milo 🙄… now we have to talk about Agege Bread! 🇳🇬🇯🇲🍞 Back in the 1920s, a Jamaican man named Amos Stanley Wynter Shackleford moved to Nigeria as part of Marcus Garvey’s "Back to Africa" movement. He revolutionized baking in Lagos by introducing mechanised baking and a massive vendor network. His bread became so famous that non-English speaking locals literally called bread "Shackleford" Later on, Nigerian bakers like Alhaji Ayokunnu refined the recipe, and the iconic loaf took its name from the Lagos city where it was made Agege ❤️🔥 The African-Caribbean connection runs DEEP! Jamaican here. I went to an African store in Belgium and found this type of bread. I bought it out of curiosity because it looked a lot like hard dough bread. It tastes similar and it was pretty good.

you know what's so funny about me-lo and my-lo. Milo ran ads on TV calling it my-lo in Jamaica and me-lo in Nigeria and thought we'd never find out 😆 now the debate will never end cause we're both right and strong
