@heartsandhaunts: Happy Halloween, everyone! I have seen so many accounts calling Halloween "such an evil Holiday"... But let me tell you. I have had so many amazing memories and experiences all surrounding Halloween. My mother and my aunt crafted and sewed my costumes as a kid. We went to Halloween parties and I won awards for best costume. Some kids won and some didn't.. which made it so much more magical when you did win a ribbon. Some people will say, how can you be religious and celebrate. It's all in HOW you celebrate. Shedding light on the experiences and fun that was created for you by your loved ones as a kid. Going door to door every year in our neighborhood and seeing the same familiar and friendly faces passing out candy. Breathing in and smelling that crisp fall air while walking on crunchy leaves. If you've been here on the page for a while, you know I keep things clean and family friendly. That's not by accident. There's been a lot going on this year behind the scenes but for today, I will try and give my daughter that same feeling I had when I was younger. There's beauty in that, nothing wicked or mischievous. Just pure excitement and being able to stay engaged with your community. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween.
