If my dad said that to my daughter, I'd be like, I know. I live with her. 😜

I am so sick of this! Why is it so easy to throw your families away? Terrible.

Oh my goodness, if my dad said that to my child and immediately apologized I could never make him feel worse for it! That was terrible of her. I get standing up for your kids but that was uncalled for, especially at his age. 💔💔

Estrangement never comes down to one incident. I would bet there's been a lifetime of incidents. Also your husband is the adult. He should have controlled himself and at the very least told your daughter about it before the grandchild. I would protect my kids too.

When you became less accessible, she began to feel resentful. It wasn't really about your husbands slip, that was her excuse. Stand by your husband. I know it hurts, I've been thru it.

Life is too short….everyone is wrong in this, doesn’t matter who says I’m sorry first or at all. Get together with your family and squash all that. Don’t allow this to end your precious relationship with your daughter and grandchildren. God forgives us constantly for much more than this, we all need to do the same.

You have to let her go. You did the best you can. You cannot change her mindset. Let her go let her grow up. I know you miss your grandchildren, but that’s the best thing for you now.

She’s better than me, I would’ve blocked both of y’all. Never once has anybody in my family referred to me being bitchy, and if somebody did whatever but my kid? Grandpa would’ve got cussed out idc.

No. You were not in the wrong. Not at all. How dare she and her husband threaten him over a misunderstanding. Horrible. Bad attitude. What a bully.. so disrespectful to her parents

It was a slip of the tongue. He apologized for it. Your daughter was very disrespectful and needs to know we all want forgiveness. Pray and let go and let God 🙏 have his way.

I would ask for a meeting with my daughter, and husband and talk it out. Tell her she is loved and you know she loves you and let's fix this. Try.

I would set a boundary. I would make no contact. First of all, your granddaughter should not be disrespectful to her grandfather. It sounds like your daughter needs you more than you need her.
I would not go to any of the events they have and when Christmas comes around I would stay home and spend Christmas with my husband.
