I’ve driven cross country Seattle - Florida three times. Biggest rec is to stay off the interstates. Small town America across the country is highly interesting and you completely miss that on interstates

if youre ever passing through north florida, i highly recommend driving a few miles up to georgia and visiting the okefenokee swamp, the scenery is just incredible

I live in New Mexico! Santa Fe is beautiful definitely check out the old town and the Loretto chapel while you’re there. Churro bar is a super cute desert place. Tomasitas is good New Mexican food. Then, there’s so much to do in Albuquerque. Don’t let ABQ’s bad reputation scare you! It’s honestly really nice here just don’t go on the east side of Central ave at night 😅 Birrieria y Tacos Alex Tijuana Style located off Coors is one of my favorite places to eat. They even have birria pizza there. El Dorado bakery (which shares the same parking lot as the Birrieria) has great conchas for a good price. There’s a free pickleball court off Manzano Mesa on the east side of town. There’s the Sandia mountains where there’s tons of hiking trails. There are also a ton of museums. You gotta check out Albuquerque’s old town too. If you’re on your way to phoenix check out Gallup. I’ve only driven through so I can’t recommend anything but I know there are some cool things and a big Native American Population there. In New Mexico you’ll be asked if you want red or green chilies with your food and you can always get Christmas style too.
