It’s probably a new policy that was given to them by Managment and they were making sure you knew, I mean as you said they didn’t know that the others had told you. I know when I worked in that end of hospitality when those kinds of policies came down we would like tell EVERYONE in case their original server forgot to mention it lol.

Three separate people telling you was rude, I have been to many restaurants where they tell you and it’s typically the host job to let you know. And many times it’s when you book the reservation as well. I have never had three separate people tell me. They are still in hospitality, and that’s uncomfortable

People start complaining and leaving bad reviews if they notice people are camping at tables. We’re trying to make a sea of people who all think they’re the only person in the room who matters happy.

Most likely their boss was hounding them to tell people about the limit. So they just kept repeating to everyone without noticing if someone told you or not! It’s tourist season so time is everything that not is always respected

3 separate people telling you is rude and unprofessional - I get that there’s a limit but there should be communication among them as to not turn off PAYING customers - they are not doing you a favor by you dining there, it’s the other way around. Where’s the decorum and customer service? These other comments are azz

It’s a business people need to make money. People abuse places like that and stay way longer than they should. You have to remember there’s another element to your situation. It’s the actual cafe.
