my daughter is 11 and went out at 530 and was back at just gone 7 cos no sweets were left. i think our last one was at 8. you should have left sweets outside then they wouldnt knock.

We had loads of them around 5pm - 7 pm then it went quiet at 7:15 pm then we closed curtains and lights off.

I used to hate anyone knocking after 8.30 and then I watched of a video of a little boy who had knocked at someone's at 9, he apologized for knocking late and said he seen the house decorated and people where still downstairs so he knocked because his mum was in work until 8pm and he couldn't go out until then.. broke my heart so now I dont mind anyone knocking between 8-10 if they're respectful. we don't know why somebody could be knocking late

We watched scary movies until 10pm dowstairs waiting for trick or treaters,girls we’re so excited to give out candy. Had a few teenagers as well,don’t get the hate older children get for trick or treating. Guess I’m just a sappy woman.

I actually turned my lights off at half eight because there were no kids out. I had my window cracked open and about 8:45 I heard someone walking past with a kid. I was at my front door so fast to call them over to get a load of sweets. next year I'm going to decorate ahead of time and actually book the full day off work so people know to come and knock

7 is the limit I think.. trick or treating is for children.. not 15/16 year olds😂😂😂i put a sign on my door saying “no trick or treaters” and people still knocked, groups of teenagers tho😭they were so cheeky too!
