Trump says eliminating these rules will save consumers and energy producers $45 billion and result in 210 million additional barrels of domestic oil production, including unlocked Texas natural gas reserves. Texas sits on enormous energy resources that these regulations were actively suppressing. Removing the restrictions means those reserves can now be developed, production increases, and American consumers and workers see the benefit.
