Bootcamp is easy it’s gon seem hard at the moment but it’s just a routine. You do a lot of marching 😑 but pay attention in the classes, study your training guide, and do what your told and you shouldn’t have a problem. Also your experience might be a little different than others depending on your RDCs and the people in your division and the people you hang around

I went 20 years ago but I recommend not taking much with you. You send most if not all back home. I would try to know the General Orders, Rank and Chain of Command. I had to learn once I got there to try and relax and just try to get through each day. Good luck

It’s very boring a lot of standing around doing nothing. I don’t reccomend the tandoori chicken. And do what ur told. It’s more of a mental challenge then physical

also, it’s easier than you think, just take it day by day, study your chain of command as soon as you there, dont take it to serious, by week 7 itll actually be somewhat fun depending on your leaders.

take clothes to change into after graduation, if you have A-school in chicago then you will get overnight liberty (liberty for the weekend with your family) or if you got A-school out of state then you will have liberty for that day after graduation, if you want to get promoted early, volunteer for rpoc (leads the division) or aroc (sings the cadences), or you can try and be laundry po (wash everyones clothes daily).

Just the clothes you are wearing to travel and wallet/ID to RTC. No more. No toiletries, underwear, etc... They will provide. If you bring more you will be required to send back home. Study the Blue Jackets Manuel front to back. Know your General Orders. Don't try and stand out. Do your job and work as a team with other fellow recruits. Know your going to fail and as the pressure gets worse don't ever give up. This is only 13 wks of your entire career. Good luck my friend push forward and take care.
