😂The CCP’s “whole-process fake democracy” looks so real that they even issue actual “voter registration cards”! Today (November 6), Xi Jinping cast his ballot at the Huairentang polling station in his Zhongnanhai electoral district to “elect” deputies to the local People’s Congress. What a convincing show! But here’s the real question: Who gets to be on the ballot in the first place? Candidates who are CCP members are selected by Party organizations. Candidates who are not Party members are decided by the CCP’s United Front Work Department (Read my post below to see how the CCP's United Front Work Department is a lot of controlling overseas Chinese associations, too.) So yes, you get to “vote.” But every candidate on that ballot has already been chosen by the Party! When do ordinary people ever get to decide who appears on the ballot? Have you ever seen a real election campaign for People’s Congress deputies? One more thing: Back in the 1980s, there was a brief period when people actually tried to campaign for these positions. I remember eating in the cafeteria at Peking University. Sometimes, right in the middle of a meal, someone would suddenly jump onto a dining table and start giving a campaign speech. Those were memorable days, when ordinary people briefly tried to reclaim their right to choose their own representatives. And then what happened? The tanks rolled into Tiananmen Square. Countless people were killed. And ever since, we've had “whole-process democracy”! #XiJinping #CCP #China #FakeDemocracy #JenniferZeng
