@tomtheweatherwizard: 🌙 THE DARKER DAYS OF NOVEMBER ARE HERE! As we head toward the darkest days of the year, the United States will lose another 30 to 70 minutes of daylight during November, depending on location! ☀️ Northern states experience the greatest losses, with some areas losing around an hour or more of daylight throughout the month. 🌎 Central states generally lose about 40–50 minutes, while southern states, including Florida and Texas, lose closer to 30–40 minutes. Why the difference? Earth’s 23.4° axial tilt causes daylight hours to shrink more dramatically at higher latitudes as we approach the winter solstice on December 21. ⏰ And remember, daylight saving time ends November 1, but changing our clocks doesn’t actually change how much sunlight we receive! The good news? We’re approaching the shortest day of the year, after which daylight will gradually begin increasing again! #DaylightLoss #NovemberWeather #WinterSolstice #WeatherTok #meteorology
