@pacificrugbyleague: Australian Kangaroos coach Kevin Walters delivered a blunt reality check to reporters following his side's dominant 66-6 victory over the Cook Islands. Frustrated by persistent questioning over his selections for the upcoming World Cup semi-final, Walters flatly rejected claims that he has already finalized his lineup. "I keep telling everyone but you seem to think I am a bulls***ter, I'm lying to you," Walters fired back during his post-match press conference. "But I haven't made any decisions around who is playing where. We give players opportunities." 🏉 The Headaches Facing the Coach - Following Mitchell Moses' tournament-ending injury earlier in the campaign, Walters is balancing star-studded selection dilemmas ahead of the knockout phase at Allianz Stadium: ▫️ The Fullback Duel: Reece Walsh put on a masterclass against the Cook Islands with five try assists and a try. However, Walters insisted that incumbent skipper James Tedesco—who set up four tries the week prior against Fiji—is still firmly in the mix. ▫️ The Halves Partner: With Moses out, Tom Dearden and Sam Walker are locked in a tight battle to partner Cameron Munster. Dearden got the nod on Saturday, but Walters clarified that neither player has completely locked down the jersey yet. Walters maintained that having to choose between such elite talent is a luxury rather than a problem. The final squad will be determined over the coming days in consultation with the team's leadership group. #NRL #KevinWalters #Kangaroos #RugbyLeague #WalshVBTedesco
