@susanmileski: Day 6 | A Guarda → Oia 🇪🇸 One of the special things about walking the Camino is discovering little coastal villages you might never have found otherwise. 🌊 Today’s walk brought me to Oia, a small seaside village in Galicia that’s home to the Monastery of Santa María de Oia, founded in the 12th century. This historic Cistercian monastery sits right along the Atlantic coast, making it a pretty remarkable sight. This stretch of the Camino Portugués Coastal follows the rugged Galician coastline, where the scenery can change from sunshine to foggy, dramatic ocean views. And honestly, there’s something about those moody coastal days that I absolutely love.
