guys- lets remember she was there from the middle of the night till almost 3 pm. half a day (a weekday no less) with sleeping and work schedules etc. not hearing something in a mere 12 hours is NOT even close to impossible. while that was surely a lifetime for Violet, Vince may have threatened her and her family and it kept her silent (especially after Violet saw him attack her sister with a HAMMER!) the truth will come out! if the roommate knew, we will find out!

I live with 2 roommates. I know and hear 99% of what they do and bring inside including groceries, building materials (they work construction), personal items etc. there's zero ways any functional adult wouldn't hear a roommate moving in something as out of place as a duffle bag with a child in it.
