It’s so exhausting, they’re deeply insecure, no they want an applause. I asked a manager who comped my drinks what they wanted and they started looking at the bar and me and acting like they were in a movie. I just never showed up there again lol and I told the server.

Everything is a performance, I divorced a man like this, he needed validation for every single thing he did, his mom gave him validation for the smallest thing. Made me seem like I was never happy about anything he did, when he was being an adult doing adult things

I hate performing, I'm usually doing things without people looking, but somehow people think I'm lazy just because I don't try to impress them by doing things in front of them, that ignites an urge to try & do something to show them that I am competent & I hate it so much, apparently if they don't see you doing something that means you're not competent, it's so hard to be human sometimes.

This is a limited take, I have never met a person doing anything without getting something out of it. There is always a deeper reason for everything we do, even kindness, for all of us. The human psyche and subconscious is very complex. Even when it looks like people are doing the thing out of the kindness of their heart that's likely still not the case
