I live at at end of the street. I saw kids a few houses down getting ready to turn around and I waved my arms and yelled “I have candy”. I felt like a freak.

My husband and I weren’t getting any kids. We drove around the neighborhood and pulled up in our car to groups of children to give them candy. Might’ve been creepy but I had to get rid of that candy 🤣

Yeah, trunk or treat stole our joy. You used to have to go around house to house and get one piece of candy and that was the fun of it. Now you go to one trunk and the dump half a bucket in your bag.

We were the only house giving out candy in our freaking neighborhood. We had ONE KID. I gave him the whole bowl and gave up.

Well we took my kid around and out of our whole entire neighborhood, maybe ten houses were handing out candy. A lot had porch lights on but didn’t answer the door. It’s not trunk or treats ruining it, its lack of participation from adults 🫠
