my favorite way to start a more substantive political conversation with basically anyone working class is to get them venting about their job, and when they inevitably bring up something that’s done in a suboptimal way because of decisions their clueless boss made i’m like what ifffff the people who actually do the job decided how to do it 😳

The right thing to do would be to fight to fix the problems they created or at least greatly exacerbated, but tbh I'm kinda fine with them never voting again. I don't forgive them by any means, but their judgement is dogsh*t and if they want to take themselves out of the "likely voter" camp forever the rest of us can actually get things done without them. Some people are a detriment to every team they're a part of 🤷♀️
