Especially being transparent about our costs 🤍 If you’re starting your planning process or have no idea what things really cost, welcome - I’ve got some handy content for you! We got married at the increasingly popular Montalvat estate last month. We’ve had a lot of questions about the venue so hopefully this answers them but feel free to comment your wedding questions if you still have any 👇🏼 The chapel, the gallery, the forcout, long hall and grand hall are all spaces to host within on the property. Ceremony venue hire fees are under $2,000 for each area. Pricing was $236 per head for catering & alcohol This included the ceremony, cocktail hour with drinks package & canapés, and reception until 10pm We chose a plated dining package but; cocktail, high tea, shared dining and carvery dining options are all available at lesser rates. We added 2 additional hours at $16 per person per hour to finish at midnight. Kids under 12 are $25 each Teens with smaller meals are 70% of the adult charge Suppliers meals are $50 each We found their food to be elevated and well curated by the chef, our menu consisted of 4 chef selected canapés, local sourdough, 2 alternating entrees- one of heirloom tomatoes and another beef, 2 alternating mains - a beef and chicken dish, desserts - raspberry and frangipane tart and a chocolate truffle delice dish; then served our cake with tea and coffee (obviously much more extravagant dishes than described) 🍽️ Our drinks package was whites, reds, rosé, beef and non alcoholic drinks 🍷 Pqckage started with guest arrivals from 3:30pm where the venue then closes at 4pm for a fully private function. There is also ample free parking on site and you can be driven down to the wedding spaces for accessibility purposes. They were fabulous to deal with. The lady running our kitchen, bar & wait staff on the night was absolutely fantastic, always making sure I was ok and my bubbles were topped up 🥂 We did not use a day of planner but we did have an allocated events consultant throughout our process from Montsalvat events who organised the set up of things like; their linen, the chairs, our sign, placed out our parasols & fans, scattered our petals, our wishing well, our guestbook, our table numbers, our placecards, the signing table, and more. Plus met with us for 2 consultations about the wedding; first one communicating our vision and finalising a run sheet, second to finalise details and menu selections. You are able to drop everything you need for the wedding or bridal suite off the week of your wedding. Highly recommend. Even just to grab a coffee on the weekend to walk by the pool, see the peacocks and view the artworks, sculptures and crafts on the estate; it also backs onto the leafy Eltham cemetery from their gardens which feeds my Victorian gothic craving 🪦 This is for educational purposes and a pricing guide.
