Yes and it was painful. We had what would’ve been a random prickly exchange any other day, and she stopped speaking to me. We stopped talking. Cold turkey. No bad blood but complete black out. Four years later we ran into each other. She apologized, we talked about it and picked up where we left off. Several months later she was diagnosed with breast cancer. We fought the good fight with her for 6 years. She passed away in December. Four days before she passed we were having a “recap” conversation and she joked that we should’ve been taking meds. “Our renewed friendship is sponsored by Wellbutrin and Cymbalta.” I told her God split us up so I would know how to navigate her absence. Had we not had that lapse in our relationship, I would’ve asked to be cremated with her. I pray you find peace in knowing whatever had her respond to you in that way was built on something she won’t address within herself, not you. 🫶🏾

I understand the hurt. My best friend of many years, whom I was in her wedding party, ghosted me and moved to another state without one word. I found out from her husband's Facebook post! I tried calling her, messaging her, etc. Asking just to see if she was okay. To this day, she never responded to me and it's been 4 years. Do you know how traumatic it is to have your closest friend, an emotionally invested person, just abandon your friendship without explanation?? Whew chile, that was a hard chapter of my life 😮💨

my best friend that I took her as my sister, she was moody and blamed me for everything and there was a lot. she left our friendship earlier this year, I still miss her and funny thing is I still love her. friendship break-up hurt 😢 😞
