Cajun Garlic Butter Salmon with Cheesy Shrimp Topping Ingredients 1. Salmon fillets – 4 pieces (6 oz each) 2. Large shrimp – 12 oz, peeled and deveined 3. Olive oil – 2 tbsp 4. Unsalted butter – 6 tbsp 5. Garlic – 6 cloves, minced 6. Fresh lemon juice – 2 tbsp 7. Lemon – 1, sliced 8. Smoked paprika – 2 tsp 9. Cajun seasoning – 2 tsp 10. Garlic powder – 1 tsp 11. Onion powder – 1 tsp 12. Black pepper – 1/2 tsp 13. Salt – 1/2 tsp 14. Italian seasoning – 1 tsp 15. Shredded mozzarella cheese – 1 cup 16. Grated Parmesan cheese – 1/2 cup 17. Heavy cream – 1/4 cup 18. Fresh parsley – 3 tbsp, chopped 19. Red pepper flakes – 1/4 tsp Recipe 1. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels and remove any remaining pin bones. 2. In a small bowl, combine Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt. 3. Rub olive oil over the salmon fillets and generously coat both sides with the seasoning mixture. 4. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. 5. Place salmon fillets skin-side down and sear for 4–5 minutes until the skin becomes crispy. 6. Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove and set aside. 7. In the same skillet, melt another 2 tablespoons of butter and add minced garlic. 8. Add shrimp, season lightly with Cajun seasoning, and cook for approximately 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. 9. Remove the shrimp and reduce the heat to low. 10. Add the remaining butter, heavy cream, and lemon juice to the skillet. Stir until the sauce becomes smooth. 11. Add Parmesan cheese and half of the mozzarella, stirring until melted and creamy. 12. Arrange the salmon fillets in the skillet and spoon some garlic butter sauce over each piece. 13. Place 3 shrimp on top of each salmon fillet. 14. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the shrimp and salmon. 15. Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for 5–7 minutes until the cheese melts and the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). 16. Finish with chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, and fresh lemon slices. 17. Spoon the remaining garlic butter sauce over the salmon and serve immediately with rice, roasted vegetables, or creamy mashed potatoes.
